Texas A&M is thinking of bringing back the annual Aggie Bonfire. The bonfire was discontinued after the 60-foot-tall log pile collapsed in 1999 and killed a dozen people. The University of Texas is joining the SEC, reviving the rivalry between the Aggies and the Longhorns for the first time since 2011. The bonfire is part of the tradition. A committee is contacting the families of the 1999 casualties to see what they think. The bonfire structure may be built by a construction company, as opposed to student volunteers.
