San Antonio Police Officer Shot During Traffic Stop

A San Antonio Police officer was shot during a traffic stop early this morning at Marbach Road and Loop 410. Police are still searching for the shooter.

Police Chief William McManus says two officers had pulled over a driver who was suspected of drunk driving when the passenger in the car started shooting. The passenger then fled jumped behind the wheel and fled the scene. The car was later found. Police were later able to take the suspect.

The officer who was shot was rushed to a hospital with two gunshot wounds. He is a six-year veteran of the San Antonio Police Department.
