Houston Hosts CFP National Championship Game Tonight

The Michigan Wolverines and the Washington Huskies square off this evening in the College Football Playoff Championship in Houston. The Harris County-Houston Sports Authority is spending up to 19-million-dollars to host the game. The event is expected to pay for itself through sponsorships, ticket sales, and event proceeds, plus tax money reimbursed from the state's Event Trust Funds Program. The Sports Authority anticipates receiving more than ten-million-dollars from the state program. Kickoff at NRG Stadium is at 6:30 p.m.
