The Houston Rockets topped the Dallas Mavericks 122 to 96 on Friday night. Alperen Şengün led the Rockets with 22 points. Jabari Smith Jr. added 21 points. The Mavericks were led by Olivier-Maxence Prosper with 20 points. Dexter Dennis added 18 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. had 16. Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Dereck Lively II did not play in the game.

The Mavericks are now 16-12 on the season, while the Rockets are 14-12. Both teams return to action on Saturday night. The Mavericks host the San Antonio Spurs, while the Rockets play the Pelicans in New Orleans.
