Details are being made public of the tentative contract agreement between Dallas-based Southwest Airlines and its pilots' union. Pilots will receive a 29% pay raise immediately, increasing to a 50% raise by the end of the five-year contract. The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association says the deal is worth $12 billion. The union's 11,000 members voted last May to authorize a strike, and they had been occasionally picketing to draw attention to their labor dispute with the Dallas-based carrier.
