College football's bowl season is underway. Texas Tech defeated California 34-14 in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport over the weekend. Behren Morton completed 27-of-43 passes for 256 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. Tahj Brooks added 98 rushing yards and a TD on the ground. Coy Eakin totaled seven catches for 106 yards and a score. The Red Raiders end the year with a 7-and-6 record.
