Man Caught Following Manhunt In Brazoria County

Update:

A child sex predator who escaped from a Texas prison has been caught. Robert Yancey slipped out of his lockup over the weekend, where he was serving a life sentence. Th3 39-year-old was taken into custody this morning not far from the prison farm. Two people have been arrested in connection with the escape. One of them is said to be his mother.

A manhunt is in progress for a prison inmate who escaped on Sunday from a Brazoria County lockup. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice says 39-year-old Robert Yancy Jr. was serving life without parole for continuous sexual abuse of a child in Victoria County. Yancy was last seen at around 3:30 p.m. at the Clemens Unit in Brazoria. The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office says they have reason to believe Yancy is no longer in the county.
