A federal court is temporarily halting a lower court order allowing Border Patrol agents to cut razor wire that Texas has placed along the Rio Grande. A judge in Del Rio ruled last Wednesday against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who wanted the judge to order Border Patrol to stop cutting the wire. Paxton's office appealed the order on Thursday, and on Monday the New Orleans-based 5th Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay on the judge's ruling and gave the Biden administration until this Friday to respond.
