Attorney General Ken Paxton's lawyers say he won't testify at his upcoming impeachment trial, but Texas House prosecutors are trying to get him to talk. Prosecutors say it should be their decision, not Paxton's, whether he should testify. Paxton could always plead the Fifth, prompting the 30 senator-jurors to believe he's got something to hide. The House impeached Paxton in May on charges involving bribery and misuse of power. He's been suspended without pay since that time. The trial starts next Tuesday.
