Astros Lose To Marlins

The Astros dropped their series opener against the Marlins. Houston lost to Miami 5-1 on the road at LoanDepot Park. Starting pitcher Framber Valdez was charged with the loss after he allowed four runs, three earned, through seven-and-two-thirds innings. Jose Altuve led the team at the plate, finishing the game 3-for-4 with an RBI. The Astros have lost two straight to fall to 68-and-52. Right-hander Cristian Javier will start opposite Miami righty Johnny Cueto tonight.
