Rangers Lose To Athletics In Series Finale

The Rangers' eight-game winning streak has come to an end. Texas lost to the Athletics 2-0 in their series finale at the Oakland Coliseum. Jordan Montgomery was charged his 10th loss of the year after letting up two earned runs through six frames. Texas was limited to four hits and went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position. The Rangers had their eight-game winning streak snapped as they fell to 68-and-47. They will travel to take on the San Francisco Giants tomorrow night. Right-hander Jon Gray is scheduled to start the series opener.
