Lawyers presenting the case for Attorney General Ken Paxton's impeachment oppose his request to remove three Democrats from the jury. Instead, they say his legal team violated a gag order by leaking a document asking for their removal. In a filing, the lawyers rejected Paxton's argument that the Democratic senators cannot be impartial jurors. Paxton's wife -- State Senator Angela Paxton -- has already been barred from voting. Last week, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick issued a gag order, saying people on both sides have made what they called prejudicial and inflammatory statements that may influence public opinion.
