A new report says Texas House investigators in the Ken Paxton impeachment trial are now looking into the suspended Attorney General's real estate purchases. According to the Wall Street Journal, the General Investigating Committee has requested the bank and trust records on six properties bought by Paxton within a ten-month period worth a total of almost $3.5 million. The report says the purchases are being investigated because they started just months after the beginning of a 2020 FBI probe into allegations that Paxton abused his office to benefit a donor. Paxton's attorney claims he was just trying to take advantage of low interest rates.
