Residents in South Texas are reporting seeing a meteor flashing across the sky tonight and the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department says they have received calls of a loud blast west of McAllen, Texas just after 6 p.m. Sheriff Eddie Guerra says at least two aircraft in the area also reported seeing it, but officers haven't found where the meteorite made impact. He says reports are coming in from communities throughout South Texas from residents reporting seeing it and many saying they heard the impact. So far there have been no reports of damage in the area.
