A Texas woman scheduled to be executed later this month may get a reprieve from the district attorney who signed her execution warrant. Melissa Lucio is set to be executed on April 27th for the murder of her two-year-old daughter in 2007. New evidence and claims of a forced confession have resulted in a bipartisan effort in the Texas legislature to put the execution on hold. Cameron County D-A Luis Saenz says if the court doesn't delay Lucio's execution, he'll withdraw his application to execute her.
