Conference USA Unveils Revised Football Schedule

Conference USA has announced a revised football schedule for the 2022 season, and UTSA will host four league games at the Alamodome and hit the road for four conference contests this fall.

The non-conference slate did not change, as the defending C-USA champion Roadrunners will open their 12th season of play on Saturday, Sept. 3, when they host Houston at the Alamodome. Following road games at Army on Sept. 10 and Texas the following Saturday, UTSA will close out the out-of-conference docket on Sept. 24 at home against Texas Southern.

UTSA, which went 12-2 and made its second straight and third overall bowl appearance last year, will open conference play on the road against Middle Tennessee on Oct. 1 in Murfreesboro before hosting Western Kentucky on Oct. 8 at the Alamodome in a rematch of last year’s C-USA Championship Game that the Roadrunners won 49-41.

UTSA then will travel to Miami, Fla., to face FIU on Oct. 15, before hosting North Texas on Oct. 22 at the Alamodome.

Following the lone idle week of the season, UTSA will once again hit the road to face UAB on Nov. 5 in a clash of the top two teams in C-USA’s West Division in 2021.

The Roadrunners will host Louisiana Tech on Nov. 12, travel to Houston to play Rice on Nov. 19 and then close out the regular season slate at home against UTEP on Nov. 26.

The 2022 Ryan C-USA Championship Game is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 2.

The 2022 C-USA alignment will feature 11 teams. Charlotte, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Rice, UAB, UTEP, UTSA and WKU comprise the conference for the 2022 football season.
