VIA Metropolitan Transit plans to make temporary service changes to its bus routes in order to keep things running despite a labor shortage. In a board work session on Tuesday, VIA officials said the changes will result in two- to five-minute differences in frequency for most affected fixed-route buses. Riders on lower-demand routes could see a difference of 20- to 30-minutes. Construction and other external factors will result in other route changes. VIA Link and VIA-Trans service won't be affected.
