Political Aide To Texas Agriculture Commissioner Arrested In Alleged Scheme

A political aide to the Texas Agriculture Commissioner is under arrest for an alleged scheme to take money in exchange for hemp licenses. Todd Smith is accused of taking 55 thousand dollars in the scheme that led to his arrest. He reportedly told a hemp license seeker that he needed 150 thousand dollars in order to receive the "guaranteed hemp license." Smith serves as the top political consultant to Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller.
