El Paso County COVID-19 Cases Continue Surge

The number of mobile morgues grows in El Paso County during the current COVID-19 spike. El Paso County is about to have ten mobile morgues on hand to keep up with a daily COVID-19 death rate of 20 or so patients. County Judge Ricardo Samaniego says he'll extend the current "stay-at-home-unless-essential" order if hospitals don't show less numbers of COVID-19 patients in the next few days. The county has been working to reduce a backlog of nearly 180-bodies since last week. The deceased are awaiting the medical examiner's final word on cause and manner of death.
