Charges Dropped Against Jogger Detained In Search For Suspect

Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales is dropping charges against a jogger detained by police during a family violence investigation. Officers say Mathias Ometu fit the description of the suspect, but he refused to identify himself and kicked both officers after they handcuffed him. Ometu was charged with two felony counts of assaulting a peace officer. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the officers' actions were appropriate, but since they weren't injured, they asked that the charges be dropped.
