Schools in Texas may end up being closed for the rest of the school year as a result of the coronavirus. Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath told state officials in a conference call on Sunday that schools could be closed for weeks or months to come. Morath also said events that involve crowds, such as sports and prom, may have to be called off or postponed. More than 30 local school districts have canceled classes this week, including San Antonio, South San Antonio, North East, East Central, New Braunfels, and Boerne.
