Box Labeled 'BOOM' Delivered to Local Mental Hospital

A 44 year old man who is apparently homeless is now facing criminal charges after police say he delivered a package to a northwest side mental health treatment facility with the word 'BOOM' written on the packaging, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say the package had wires hanging out of it, so a staffer refused to accept it and called the Fire Departrment, which quickly determined that it was a 'hoax bomb.'

Officials say the man also attempted to take the package to other doors at the San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, which is located at Huebner and Edkhert in the Medical Center,, but found them locked. Police say the man was mumbling something about a 'detonator.'
