A man was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition early today after he was found shot in a motel room just north of downtown, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to the 900 block of North Main Street about 4AM. They found the victim sprawled on the floor, shot in the head.
Police don't have many details about the shooting, but they did say they have a description of the suspect. He will probably stand out, detectives say he was wearing no shirt and no shoes as he ran out into the chilly, rainy morning. He is believed to have made his escape in a black Tahoe.
Police have no other witnesses to the shooting, and don't have a motive.
