Four People, Including Two Children, Wounded in Drive-by Shooting

Four people, including two children aged 2 and 12, were wounded Sunday afternoon in a drive by shooting on an east side street that has seen more than its share of violence, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

It happened in the 600 block of Morningview, just south of MLK Drive.

The children and a woman were inside a home when at least two people in a passing car opened fire.  Police say a fourth person who was standing in the driveway, was also shot, but he was gone by the time police arrived.  Officers say there is evidence that somebody, maybe the man, returned fire.  The car, which is believed to be stolen, was recovered a short time later, but the occupants remain at large.

Police say none of the three people who remained in the home suffered wounds that are life threatening.  Its not known if anybody in the gunmans car was hit by gunfire.
