Veterans Care Bill Signed By Trump

Trump

A new veterans care bill is now law.   The bipartisan measure gives veterans expanded access to private care at  taxpayer expense.  In a White House signing ceremony today, President  Trump said vets will have more choices for their medical care.  He  called choice a beautiful word.  Supporters say the measure will help  relieve the backlog at VA health centers around the U.S.  Some critics  warn that the bill is part of a broader Republican effort to privatize  the VA.  Trump said he is keeping campaign promises to veterans.  He  noted that vets deserve the "absolute best."
