A woman is hospitalized in critical condition after she was shot by a drive by gunman---while she was sound asleep in her own bedroom early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The woman in in the bedroom of her home in the 5900 block of Fairshire, which is near Five Palms on the southwest side, when witnesses said a grey PT Cruiser started driving slowly down the street.
A man who was driving the vehicle got out and fired several shots a the house. He then jumped into another vehicle and they sped away toward Five Palms.
At least one of the slugs tore through the wall of the home and hit the woman in the back.
Police think the idiots who did it probably mistook the woman's home for the house of somebody they had some type of grudge against.
