Sheriff: Accused Killer's Mommy Helped Him Break Out of Jail

Three people who allegedly helped three accused killers escape from the Bexar County Jail last week are now sampling jail food themselves, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

One of the three arrested is Gabriella de Arroyo, the mother of escapee Luis Arroyo.

The others include Michelle Ramirez, who drove the getaway vehicle and turned the three in by calling police after dropping them off at a Sonic on Blanco Rd. and Marcos Madanado, a friend of one of the escapees who allegedly smuggled the tools the trio needed to escape into the jail.

The three escaped last Friday by cutting through bars at a recreation yard, and then using bed sheets to drop to street level.  All this happened on the front of the jail, and was seen by passersby, who notified authorities.

The three are charged with aiding and abetting the escape.
