What was supposed to be a sexy encounter turned into gunfire on the city's west side early Saturday, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say a 21 year old woman met a man at a bar, and at closing time they decided to leave together.
But the mood didn't last.. Police say the two argued in the 3100 block of West Commerce, and the man pulled a gun and shot the woman in the chest.. He then drove away, leaving his would-be girlfriend bleeding on the ground.
The woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but paramedics said her wound is not life threatening.. The gunman remains at large.
