San Antonio Police are on the scene of an officer involved shooting on the city's northwest side, police tell 1200 WOAI News Radio.
Officers were called to the parking lot of an international food market at Wurzbach and Bluemel, which is west of I-10.
One witness told News Radio 1200 WOAI the officer fired five shots and was not injured.
Chief William McManus says the suspect was stealing license plates from cars in the store parking lot when the man tried to ram the police officer's car.
She did not hit the suspect, but he was hurt running through the glass patio door of a nearby home as he tried to get away.
