Bizarre Chain of Events Leaves Three Hospitalized

An argument in the parking lot of a southeast side apartment early today led to a series of events that left three people in the hospital, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

It started when a man and a woman got into an apartment at the Spanish Spur Apartments in the 6800 block of Pecan Valley Drive.

The man pulled a gun and shot the woman in the back when she tried to walk away.  He then got into his vehicle, a black Chevy Tahoe, and tried to make his getaway.

While the man was speeding out of the parking lot, he ran over a woman who was standing there.

He then pulled out onto Pecan Valley, and police got a description of the vehicle.Officers spotted a black Tahoe on Hackberry Street, but when they tried to pull the driver over, he refused to stop, and led police on a chase.

The chase ended at Hackberry and Fair, where the man blew through a red light and slammed into a passing car.

It turns out that he wasn't the suspect in the shooting, but he was arrested on other charges.

In all, three people, all woman, are hospitalized: the woman who was shot, the woman who was run over, and the woman who was driving the car the man hit.

And despite all this...the suspect is still on the loose.
