‘A Night to Remember”

First, I would like to think all the Parents, South San Faculty, School Board, and fellow students for coming out to the first game held at the new renovated South San Stadium.  It was so amazing, I want to say thanks, and that I am so proud of our community and everyone that supported and voted for all the new facilities for South San High School.

Parents Night/Senior Night was a smashing success! Congratulations to all the seniors that participated in the parent’s night.  I cannot believe that time is going by so fast. To all seniors, enjoy your senior year! Work hard and remember that when you work hard and believe in yourself anything is possible!

The Bobcats defeated the Volunteers in a score of 26 to 20 on OT.  The game was awesome and one to remember. Of all things that could have happened game night —happened.  Due to the rain, it felt like the game was going to end on a bad note, but it totally did the opposite as it brought the Bobcats fans to their feet and had the community cheering on the Bobcats to their win.

On a personal note, this was my first game that I ever got to see --my cheer duties as cheerleader ended in the first half of the game, so we were dismissed and got to see the game and cheer on our fellow Bobcats. Sitting in the rain, cheering on friends and sitting there with the fans –it felt awesome!!

The South San Band and spirit organizations did an amazing job!! Great job Cheerleaders, Dance Team, Band, ROTC, Pep Squad, Football Players, I know the rain was cold but we continued to show our support and I believe that is what real school pride is..

“I loved playing in the rain, it was fun and brought the team together”-Joe Morales (#1 QB)

“What a game to remember, we worked together and pulled out an amazing WIN!”- Kendrick Wilson (#33 RB)

“The wettest, coldest, most excited game ever, proud to be in the stands cheering for my Bobcats” -Kayla Contreras (Fan)

Key players:
Kendrick Wilson- (Junior #33 RB) had 205 rushing yards with 21 carries! Way to Go Kendrick!
Edward Espinoza-(Senior#12 Free Safety) Had Big Hits and did an awesome job!!

Please come out to support the Bobcats against Austin Crockett.  Game will be played at Burger Center on Friday September 11, 2009 at 7:30PM.
Once again, I would like to thank the entire community in regards to all of the new facilities that are now surrounding South San High School.  We appreciate it!!
