Sixty Years, share your memories

I think one of my most impressive and favorite memories was going down to Alamo Plaza on a very dark and cold morning March 6, 1986 to the 150th anniversary ceremonies of the fall of the Alamo with Henry Guerra reciting his famous " Thirteen Days".

Another was in November 1963, closing the doors of our business and walking over on Roosevelt Ave to watch President John Kennedy and other dignitaries on their way to speak at Brooks AFB.  The next day the world was never the same again.

Two others were the tragic fire at the Municipal Auditorium, and the terrible shooting on Broadway at The Parade of Flowers.
