No Spur on West All-Stars

UPDATE:

The NBA has announced the starting units for both the East and West squads for the All-Star game.  No member of the San Antonio Spurs made the West, voted on by fans around the world.

The West team is:  Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin.

The East team is:  Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, Kevin Garnett, Carmelo Anthony

The game is Sunday, February 17th in Houston.




SAN ANTONIO --  The NBA will announce the starters for the 2013 All-Star game tonight during a one-hour special on TNT.

The starting five for each team is picked by the fans across the world, through ballots and social media, including Facebook and Twitter.

Spurs fans should not expect to see Tim Duncan or Tony Parker named as a starter tonight, but both could make the West All-Star team as a reserve.  Those players are announced next Thursday night on TNT.
