Lubbock--- Former New Braunfels Unicorn Kliff Kingsbury is the new head coach at Texas Tech. News 4 WOAI's Don Harris has confirms that the former Texas A&M offensive coordinator is returning to his alma mater. Kingsbury is just 33 years old and will take over for Tommy Tuberville who left for Cincinnati. Kingsbury is credited with much of the success of Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel as a mentor and play caller last season. Kingsbury was a record setting quarterback for the Red Raiders back in the mid 90's.

Makes no sense, leaving A&M, Sumlin, Manziel and the SEC for the STD capital of the NCAA. Oh, well, I guess 2M can buy a lot of antibiotics. :)
