Pistons' Bynum suspended for throwing punch

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Detroit Pistons guard Will Bynum was suspended one game for punching Indiana's Tyler Hansbrough during this past Saturday's game.

Bynum was ejected with 8:39 remaining in Detroit's 90-72 loss after he struck Hansbrough in the stomach while trying to get through a screen set by the Indiana big man.

One of Detroit's top reserves, Bynum will miss Monday's game against Atlanta. He is averaging 9.4 points and 3.8 assists in 48 games off the bench this season.
