Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has been upgraded to probable and will attempt to play when the team begins a five-game road trip on Monday at Golden State.

Anthony has been sidelined with a knee injury since tripping over himself on March 4 in Cleveland. He was forced to leave the game and has missed New York's last three contests.

The Knicks are in need of additional offensive production after forward Amar'e Stoudemire was declared out for the rest of the regular season. Stoudemire is set to undergo a right knee debridement procedure, which will cause him to miss at least six weeks.

Anthony, averaging 28.2 points per game, trails only Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant as the league's most prolific scorer this season.
