Recap: Miami vs. Detroit
Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade poured in 21 points in 23 minutes and Chris Bosh added 17 points as the Miami Heat cruised to a 105-78 preseason victory over the Detroit Pistons in the reigning NBA champions' first appearance at American Airlines Arena since capturing last season's title.
Wade made good on 9-of-13 field goal attempts, while LeBron James totaled 13 points and a game-high eight assists, as the Heat looked sharp in their return from a trip to China, where Miami split a pair of exhibition outings with the Los Angeles Clippers from Oct. 11-14.
Greg Monroe led the Pistons with 15 points and Brandon Knight tallied 12 for Detroit, which shot just 35.2 percent from the field and fell to 2-3 on the preseason.
Wade racked up 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting as the Heat roared out to a 27-11 lead after one quarter, while a 12-3 run to close out the second sent Miami to a commanding 61-34 advantage at the half.
The Pistons never got closer than 23 points down in the second half.
