Riley Davison is ContinuityMan!
With over 20 years of experience as a husband and father, Riley came to realize how important safety considerations are, and yet how overlooked they are in our daily lives. Having come from a Military/ Red Cross family, Scouts was the next place where the passion for Emergency Preparedness was instilled.
In 2007, the opportunity to attend his first CERT program with his then 14-year-old son developed, and the fuse was lit. "There we were, in this well-to-do neighborhood, and I realized no one around us had the faintest idea morgue plans were being discussed, because they were too busy to attend. I knew I had found something people needed to know, especially in today's world." Realizing that even the team he had trained under was not active, he sought out additional courses on his own. Next came Strategic National Stockpile, followed by the first chance to become certified to teach, Agricultural Terrorism. That was the clincher.
There has not been time for looking back since. He has since been instructor-certified in 11 FEMA courses, with a passion for helping families prepare, and teaching businesses the methods for continuity planning. "So much of this is just common sense, once you find the motivation to begin." He is here to help you.
Now embarking for the first time on such a magnified platform, the radio will serve as a new means to reach the greatest number to do the greatest good, which is what CERT was intended to do. Now beaming across all South Texas on 550 KTSA Radio, and potentially across the nation on Spreaker WebRadio, Riley takes his message of preparation to all who will hear. "I am excited to be able to serve.".
