Here's a look at Charity's adventures in Ireland, Spain and Menorca!
I went with my sister, Daphne, to a get-together that consisted of a group of women that I've never met, mostly in their mid to late 30's that come from all walks of life. While indulging in homemade artichoke dip and mini cupcakes from Bird Bakery, the topic of Starbucks somehow came up. Low and behold that led to the discussion of "paying it backwards." Unbeknownst to me, it's not uncommon for customers to pay for the order of the person behind them in the drive-thru lane. The aim is to trigger enough of an emotional response from the customer that they will in turn continue the trend. Granted, I don't frequent Starbucks enough to be a rewards card holder or anything, but...
Maybe it's all the bad news we're constantly bombarded with on a daily basis, but this feel good story really stuck with me simply because it's a perfect demonstration of how generosity can be infectious.
On another note, I'm glad I got the heads up on this.
I think some unaware customer, such as myself, might assume they were being hit on by the motorist ahead of them and get a little giddy (or weirded out) for the wrong reason. Plus, who wants to be the Scrooge that breaks the chain? Not me, but then again, what if the person behind you orders 7 double venti lattes? Yikes.
Wow. I can't remember the last time I took two straight weeks off from work. Overall the vacation was a success, however, if I never step foot again on an airplane or in an airport, it will be too soon! 10 flights during the course of my vacation nearly sent me over the edge! Having the opportunity to see these amazing places in the company of such great people was truly a life-changing experience that I will never forget.

After months of planning and fantasizing about exploring the castle ruins of Dublin, sunbathing on the beaches of Barcelona (not topless) and spending time with loved ones on the island of Menorca.... It's here... Finally!
I've gotten some incredible feedback from listeners who have the inside scoop on sights to see, I just wish I could squeeze them all in. I definitely have a general idea of what we're going to do, but I'm not one to adhere to a set schedule and have everything planned out in advance... No Ma'am. There's something about stumbling across a treasured landmark or getting a feel for the culture from the locals at a corner cafe that a tourist brochure just can't deliver.
Here's one very cool event that I booked way in advance in Dublin. Doesn't this just sound like a great time? A terrific meal accompanied by music and folklore... Plus, it received a top rating on the Travel Advisory website.
Here's where we're staying in Barcelona. I almost canceled the reservation after the hotel touted on it's website that Justin Bieber was among it's many celebrity guests, but the breathtaking photo gallery changed my mind. Check it out....
Last stop is the island of Menorca. Words can't describe this place. Okay, one does: Heaven. Couldn't find a website that does this place justice, but I'm pretty sure my view will consist of something like this:
Catch you on the radio April 8th. ¡hasta luego!
