SAN ANTONIO - Two stores on the city's north side were broken into within an hour of each other.

Police suspect the same two men first broke into a Staples Store before trying again at a Verizon Wireless shop. The first break-in occurred around 12:30 a.m. at the store on 1604 near 281. Employees from a nearby Best Buy witnessed two men smashing the front window. When the thieves saw the Best Buy employees, they left in a grey vehicle. They did not get away with any merchandise on their first attempt.

However just after 1 a.m. a second break-in occurred at the Verizon Wireless store on Loop 1604 near Stone Oak Parkway. Investigators say the men broke a store window there before stealing iPhones and taking off in the same grey vehicle.

Police are presently looking for the suspects. If you have any information regarding these break-ins please contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (7867), submit a tip online, or text a tip by texting "Tip 127 plus your tip" to CRIMES (274637).
