Pastor Boob, I guess that glass lifted on it's own and poured itself down the drinkers throat without them noticing. Just like that gun got up, walked, and pulled it's own trigger. You can't blame a bartender for misjudging someone's tolerance for alcohol. Just like we can't look into the mind's of killers who use guns to shoot people. If we were that clairvoyant, we could read the minds of the criminals and thwart their actions before they happen, but we are not. So if you can't count on the individual to police themselves, or vent their rage and anger in a more constructive way, then we need the courts to do it for you. Thus the problem. We don't prohibition or gun control, we need harsh jail sentences for the violators, no probation.

@Superspurs__Aren't you a rude little boy. I'm afraid the majority of us grown ups don't get drunk and drive all the time the way you are implying. It might be a large problem in SA but saying we should ban all alcohol is utterly moronic. I guarantee I read more than you silly little man. Furthermore sweetie I meant that wrong way driving is not THAT common. You might hear about lots of drunk drivers but not that many of them are smashed enough to drive the wrong way on a freeway.

@SUPERSPURS, @PASTOR BOB__You guys are either kidding or nuts! You can't ban alcohol, we tried that remember?? It was called Prohibition and it was wildly successful(note the sarcasm). There is no easy solution for these kinds of issues. And fortunately this sort of thing is not the norm so all this call for extremism in response is well, laughable!

I drive San Antonio highways at all hours. In all my 25+ years of driving, I've never had to watch the road ahead for oncoming traffic in my lanes of the highway. Now, it's a standard thing I'm always on the alert for when I'm on the road between midnight and 4AM.

I has long been understood that the Devil's people like to consume alcohol and then go for a drive. Automobiles have been common in this area for about 30,000 days and every morning of that time we have awoken to find that some wretch has gotten drunk on beer or whiskey and acted up in a car. There can be no doubt that the bar rooms, beer joints and saloons are the cause of these attrocities. If alcohol was illegal, the people of the night would not be able to freely drive around and get strong whiskey at every stop. After 30,000 days of this foolishness, I would think that the people in charge would have figured out that the only way to stop this criminal behavior is to close down the saloons and put the Devil's people in the jailhouse, where they can't get whiskey or go driving around. Christians are hopeful that the new sheriff will act promptly to put a stop to this activity at long last. These hooligans must either be brought to Jesus or taken over to the penitentiary over in Huntsville. Only in this manner will the streets become safe in San Antonio.
