SAN ANTONIO -- A woman was rushed to the hospital after falling out of an SUV that was hit by another SUV on the East Side Sunday.
The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of East Houston Street, near Hackberry. Police believe the driver of one of the vehicles may have run a stop sign and that alcohol may have played a role in the crash. Officers said a woman who was not wearing a seat belt fell out of one of the vehicles. She was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with severe head trauma, but officials said she is expected to survive.
No one else was hurt.
