SAN ANTONIO -- Investigators say the body found on the city's south side over the weekend is that of a female in her 20s.
Authorities tell News 4 WOAI that a caller to their emergency dispatch center reported a possible dead body in the San Antonio River within Espada Park.
Police say they received the call just before 1:45 Saturday and after arrived on the scene to find a woman's body submerged in the river. It took police and fire officials at least an hour to pull the body from the San Antonio River.
With few details to go on, the San Antonio Police Department is asking anyone with any possible information about the discovering of this dead body to contact them.
