SAN ANTONIO -  Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland's embattled 737th Training Group, the unit where dozens of female recruits have alleged they were sexually assaulted or harassed by instructors, is getting a new leader.

Colonel Deborah Liddick will take command of the unit on Friday.

JBSA - Lackland graduates about 35,000 recruits each year.

About one in five of them are women, while most instructors are men.

Liddick currently serves as chief of the maintenance division at the former Randolph Air Force Base.
