SAN ANTONIO - A woman is dead after she was hit by an 18-wheeler.
“It was fast. It happened so fast,” said one person who saw the accident. “I don’t think she had time to get up or anything - call for help - nothing.”
The accident happened around 6:30 pm Monday near Goldfield and Rittiman on the Northeast Side.
Police say the woman who is believed to be in her 60’s was trying to cross the street right as the 18-wheeler was turning there. She was hit by the big rig and died on the street.
