SAN ANTONIO -- Police arrested a woman they say stabbed her boyfriend during a fight north of Downtown Sunday.

Investigators said neighbors called 911 after the couple got into an argument at their apartment in the 500 block of West Euclid around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they found 32-year-old Edward Mendez suffering from cuts on his arms and what appeared to be stab wounds on his back. Mendez told police he had been stabbed by 36-year-old Eve Aguilar.

The officers said the couple's apartment was in disarray and there appeared to have been a struggle. A police report states Aguilar claimed Mendez had wrecked the apartment during a fit of anger.  She also denied stabbing him and claimed he sustained his all of his injuries when he punched through a window with his fists and then tried to climb through it to get back into the apartment. Police said Aguilar eventually admitted she stabbed Mendez but claimed she had done so in self-defense after he hit her.

Mendez was taken to University Hospital in stable condition.

After questioning Aguilar and two other witnesses, Aguilar was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

twotexastar, if he's got hold of her or on top of her, and if she has the weapon at hand, in the back might be the easiest reach. Just sayin' that there's a possibility of logical action.

I believe the evidence is clear in this case. First of all, the incident occured at 1:30 AM, an hour that Chistians never see awake unless they have to get up to go to the bathroom. These people were awake at that ridiculous hour and fighting to boot. Need I add that they were probably drinking whiskey and taking dope? The second and concluding point of evidence is that a knife was used. Knives are favored by the Devil's people to cut one another up with. Yes, the facts are conclusive. These two are some of the thousands of Devil's people who have infested this city like a plague of head lice. They stay awake until all hours and they spend their time gambling, drinking whiskey and fornicating. They take dope and talk on their Obamaphone while they are driving around lookig for something to steal. I don't see why the Texas Rangers can't come in and run them all off like they used to. Things were better in thoe days.
