This contest is sponsored by WOAI-TV, P.O. Box 2641, San Antonio, TX 78299 (Sponsor). Contest is void where prohibited. By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules.
HOW TO ENTER: No purchase is necessary to enter or win this Contest. The Contest begins on Friday, December 16, 2011 through May 31, 2012 (the “Entry Period”). There is no fee to enter.
All entrants will be required to provide their full name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth and social security number (if the winning amount is $600 or more). All entries become the property of Sponsor, and Sponsor reserves the right to use any information submitted by entrants. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or mutilated entries, including due to technical/network failures, human error, or any other error or malfunction. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.
ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is open only to legal residents of Texas, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Sponsors and their family members or persons living in the same households of such individuals are not eligible to participate in this Contest. All federal, state, and local laws apply. Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility (except where prohibited) affirming his or her agreement to all terms, conditions, and restrictions in these Contest rules. Prizes will not be awarded if winner has won and claimed prizes from sponsor within the past sixty (60) days.
PRIZES: Winner must accept the Prize as awarded. Each prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or any other consideration. Prizes consist of 4 admission tickets, 4 small popcorns and 4 small drinks.
Prizes will be awarded every Friday as follows:
2 Winners will be selected during the News 4 WOAI Today show
and
2 Winners will be selected from Facebook entrants
CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS APPLY: Winner must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. Upon request from Sponsor, entrants must promptly furnish proof of legal U.S. residency, legal age, and eligibility to enter the Contest. An entrant’s failure promptly to comply with such a request will result in the entrant’s disqualification. Winner is subject to verification by Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. An entrant is not a winner of any prize unless and until entrant’s eligibility has been verified and entrant has been notified that verification is complete. In the event that a winner is determined to be ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and Sponsor reserves the right to randomly select an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries. In the event that a winner is determined to be ineligible or fails to respond to Sponsor within five (5) days of Sponsor’s first attempted notification, the Prize will be forfeited and Sponsor reserves the right to randomly select an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the Contest without awarding the Visa Gift Card if no eligible winner or alternate winner claims the prize within the required time period.
Winner will be solely responsible for any and all local, state, and federal taxes. Sponsor will report any individual winnings over $600 (in cash or fair market value of goods or services) in a one-year period to the Internal Revenue Service. Winner will receive a Form 1099 from Sponsor if Sponsor reports any winnings to the Internal Revenue Service.
Winner agrees to the use of his/her name and/or likeness in further promotional materials and press releases by Sponsor without any additional compensation (except where prohibited). By entering this Contest, Winner agrees that Sponsor has the right without notice or further compensation to publicize, by any medium, Winner’s name, voice, image, and likeness, the fact that Winner won, and all matters incidental thereto. Winner agrees to execute any additional liability or publicity release agreements requested by Sponsor. Winners must pick up their prize within two (2) weeks from the date the prize is awarded, after that the prize will be forfeited.
LIMITATION ON LIABILITY: Sponsor will not be responsible for lost, late, damaged, defaced, incomplete, stolen, illegible, indiscernible, mutilated, illegally obtained, postage due or misdirected entries or for any typographical, or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Contest, or announcement of the prizes and/or all Contest-related materials. By entering this Contest, each entrant forever discharges, releases, and holds harmless Sponsor, and each of its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of [its/their] respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, losses, damages, causes of action, suits, and demands of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, responsibility for property damage, loss of life, or personal injury resulting from or in connection with participating in the Contest or from or in connection with use or receipt of the Prize, however caused.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Contest, each participant waives any and all claims of liability against Sponsor and its affiliates, employees and agents for any personal injury or loss which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the Contest, or from the use of any prize.
SPONSOR’S RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: These Official Rules are subject to modification by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by Sponsor are final and binding. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any person who tampers with or abuses the entry process, or who otherwise acts in violation of these Official Rules. Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, or modify this Contest if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of completion as planned, including due to force majeure or non-authorized human intervention that compromises or affects the administration, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest..
