SAN ANTNIO- There are new details about a deadly accident on the southwest side. The widow of the man found dead yards away from his truck is pleading for answers from someone who may know what happened to her husband.

Police found the wrecked truck belonging to 48-year-old Luis Navarro around eight o’clock Saturday morning on Old Pearsall Road and Medina Base.

A ring tone on Navarro’s cell phone led police to find his body. Police said the impact of the accident threw Navarro from the truck. The victim's widow had been making back to back calls to her husbands' phone. But, when someone finally answered her relief was short lived.

“You can tell when you're making a phone call and someone hangs it up, it cuts the ring off and someone did that and I text a message, hey I can tell when someone turns the phone off, answer the phone,” explained Patricia Parker.

Now Patricia wants to know why whoever answered the phone didn't tell her there had been an accident. She also wants to know if anyone may have seen what caused her husband to crash.

One of the hardest things to do is to tell a spouse their loved one is dead. Another, and even more uncaring, is to find out that the spouse is dead by either telephone or the news?media. That is why the military and police prefer to make the announcement at the for and face to face. Now that Ms Parker is making a brooh-ha-ha of this, I would suspect that she has gone to the top of the Persons-of-Interest list.

That's sad, hope someone comes forward. I don't know what I would do if I lost my spouse.
