I understand the camera's in place, however they will simply record the crime in progress. There are plenty of ways to defeat cameras. ProActive measures need to be put in place. Taking power away from teacher unions nation-wide will help everyone, that is a huge first step in restoring our FAILED education system.

I think this is about a company making MONEY to retrofit a school with bars and security devices. I think it's mostly unnecessary. Remember folks, this type of crime is and has been on the decline since the very early 1990's and continues to do so, but not because of anything other than able bodied police and security personnel on location. ======== This is well intentioned, and some small measures can be done here such as automatic locking doors and more secure classroom doors and windows, and entry-exit doors. However you can't prevent someone from walking into a school. The way you protect students and teachers is, #1 arm the teachers who are qualified, and/or place law enforcement or trained security guards in the schools. You cant protect -everyone- however you will minimize the chances with good-people-with-guns on campuses.

Million dollar corporations have that kind of security, I think it's great to think about. But I would go a step further and say cameras need to be watching the teachers for quality control, have them do peer reviews almost daily to make each other better. Cameras will make miracles happen.
