West Nile detected at Camp Bullis

SAN ANTONIO -- The West Nile virus continues to spread in San Antonio area. Friday, it was announced the virus had been detected at Joint Base San Antonio Camp Bullis.

Camp Bullis is on the Far North Side. The virus has also been found at Fort Sam Houston and in the area around Loop 1604 and Judson.

The positive tests at Camp Bullis came from three mosquito sample pools from a creek bed. Joint Base San Antonio officials are looking into how to best treat the affected area.

A second round of mosquito fogging was conducted Friday morning at Fort Sam Houston where numerous mosquito pool samples have tested positive for West Nile virus.
